OK so I'm not the only one. I got this error on the SuSE laptop. Where it worked fine on Debian. Fortunately on that machine it works fine in dosbox and dosemu.
On Ubuntu PC it is working fine (qemu).
It also works fine on real hardware (XP, boot from floppy).
I have no idea what is the problem.
