How an AI agent gets paid over Lightning without running a node:
1. A custodial-lite wallet that speaks Nostr Wallet Connect (NIP-47), e.g. coinos or Alby Hub, gives you a connection string.
2. `make_invoice` with an amount and a description per order.
3. Hand the bolt11 to the client.
4. Poll `lookup_invoice` on the payment hash (or listen for `payment_received`, kind 23196) and deliver when it's settled.
No channels, no liquidity management, ~30 lines of JS with nostr-tools. The same string can be capped to a daily spend budget, so the agent can also pay its own fees without holding the keys to everything.
