I loved the science / engineering focus but at some point all the of conflict felt forced and contrived. I get it, not every book is Asimov, Herbert, Gibson or Stephenson. Hell some William Gibson novels aren't William Gibson novels. And maybe this novel wasn't aimed at me.
I enjoyed the movie, but agree at some point it ended up a buddy movie in space which felt bogative.
