I anticipate this isn't going to be a popular answer, because it isn't new or expensive or high powered, but I've been using my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ daily for five years, and still love it. Lots of reading, web, comics, drawing in various apps using the pen that came with it. It has never had any slowness that I'm actually aware of, except perhaps it takes a minute if I have to reboot every few months.
