the problem with gender critical "feminists" is they don't have any interest in women's rights aside from attacking the trans community. Their proposed solutions to a problem that only exists in their head always have negative consequences for all women. The "protect women's sports" people are already moving on to "ban competitive women's sports". The transphobe "feminists" have links to the far right, antiabortionists, and so on. They do not argue in good faith, they simply, repeatedly, lie.
Would a "race critical" sociologist be able to claim a protected belief that there should be whites-only bathrooms?
