My husband and I listened to the audio books whilst eating meals. (Borrowed from the library using Borrowbox.) We've started doing that in preference to listening to the radio. We thought the series was fine as light entertainment, which is all we want from our shared listening.

It is frustrating when known names get published and other writers are passed over. Sadly publishers know that it's much easier to sell a book by someone already well known and easy sales mean profits.
