Does anyone know of a fantasy series (or ttrpg setting) where the best most powerful powers/magic aren’t some long lost past but the present and future of that setting?
That is a series where the world doesn’t have lost civilizations or fallen past empires. Where the powerful objects aren’t made by crafters using now lost to time techniques. Where there wasn’t some time of the gods - ie where the mythology of the setting isn’t based on Greek/Roman (or other “real” world culture)?
