Ya know what the most disappointing thing is with this whole PHP security shit is?
How totally unsurprised I am by it all. If anything the only surprising part is how it's not happening more often. So many software projects have grown so huge that they are essentially unmanageable. No one person, or even a small team can fully understand all of what's going on. So stuff is gonna slip through. PHP is just the latest one to make the news. Almost every large project will have similar issues.
