A real problem.
You probably know this, but MA is a one way door: people get guaranteed issue for either MA or Medigap when they start Medicare. But, only MA is always guaranteed issue -- once you go thru the MA door, you can't necessarily change your mind & get a Medigap plan instead.
Except for the qualifying event where your insurer drops your plan and doesn't offer MA in your area anymore. Then, you're guaranteed to get Medigap coverage.
So, in some ways, this creates an oppty...
