Look. I like Javascript.

I write vanilla JS apps.

But fuck JS rendering libraries.

Was looking at a vitepress web page. (Of content that used to live in a 100 page google doc. So, like, a step up already!)

I tried to send a highlight to someone using the text fragment API. (This is a seriously cool web platform API. Want to link to a random bit of text on a page without an anchor? It does that. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/URI/Reference/Fragment/Text_fragments )

Unfortunately, because the content is locked away behind a JS render, the text fragment API highlights the section, but can't do the auto scroll piece.

Literally, all you need to do to support this is have your content exist on the page when the browser loads.

Please, if your website has words meant for reference? Make it static. The web platform works better that way.
