This sort of protests I listed above are how I spent a good chunk of my 20s. And you know what? We had so much fucking fun, even the times it meant getting arrested for something. Damn we had fun 😂
Remember, this was before the Internet, before the web as we know it. My friends and I used to routinely do protests that would end up above the fold on major western newspapers as well as local city papers. We routinely made headline news with this sort of protest shenanigans. We were really fucking good at it and we used it to help build movements, reframe the narrative, mock politicians and generate enthusiasm for our causes.
100% of everything we did then is still valid, but now we have instant mass communications as a massive amplifying force.
