There is no dodging the effect of optics on a movement, but we should really be trying to tackle the underlying mechanisms of optics in general, not accommodating it whenever it causes trouble. Otherwise, the entire para community is doomed.
If we just let people arbitrarily stigmatize things because they make them upset or uncomfortable without requiring them to make an actual rational argument for harm caused, then we are failing the para movement.
