The weather this time of year down here is really gorgeous. Variety in the rain and sunshine, chilly enough to need a jumper in the mornings and evenings, warm enough during the day to recharge your batteries.

I am having trouble putting a lid on my sense of urgency about getting plants and seeds in the ground to make the most of the season – counting weeks and calculating harvest dates... but also I need to guard my energy. I needed a nap yesterday and didn't get one, so today there will be napping, even though it's going to be sunny and I could be gardening!

I plan to sow the rest of the sunflowers outside now that it's reliably warmer and I've got a new tomato seedling to go into the raised bed. Look at this forecast. Perfect growing weather – with a lovely downpour on Thursday 🥰
