my third grade teacher was in her twenties and she was anorexic. I only ever saw her eat a small chicken salad one time. we had a children's novel where the main character talked about "overweight women" and the teacher gave a 20 minute lecture on why the term is offensive. then she instructed us to open to that page and cross out the word "overweight."
one time we were doing something with these long measuring tapes, and they would dangle to the floor. a girl got a nosebleed and a few drops of it got on the floor. kids kept going near it and there were measuring tapes dangling everywhere. the anorexic teacher thought we would touch the blood or step in it or get it all over the measuring tapes. she threatened to scream so loud that people on the other side of the building could hear her.
kids in the playground would sing songs about how they wanted to do rapey stuff to her. I don't know how they knew about this stuff but they did.
