I firmly believe platform moderation needs more freedom to remove and ban for non-CoC violation level actions.
Moderation is, very strongly, in part trying to encourage good behavior, and work to stop bad behavior. Some conversations are volatile and if someone is hyperfixated on that, then a mute/ban etc for a period can act as a way to let time pass for everyone to cool off.
Only tying moderation's ability to act to a CoC really ties their hands to reacting vs curating.
