I view voting kinda like I view prayer: if it brings you nice things then that's great, I won't turn that down, but it would not be prudent to plan assuming it will work. We actually have to do things.

And like prayer, while the act itself may be harmless, the act is often done by people who insist in pushing the belief that it's the only thing that should be done and we should not do things, which is not a harmless belief.
