Today marks ten years in California!
My company had been trying to get me to relocate from Phoenix to our headquarters in San Francisco, but I was hesitant because "I’m not a San Francisco person."
My coworker could sense my apprehension and took me on a tour of Oakland and I fell in love because it's essentially the "Detroit of the west" which absolutely is a compliment if anyone is confused.
Our only goal was to "experience California" and "survive for at least a year" so it's nice to look back and see how far we've come.
