Speaking about flatpak, the wierd limbo most distros are in where users get to choose between their distros packages versus flathub flatpaks for the same app, is a wierd mess. Any system where it's possible to double install gimp, is actually bizarre when you stop and think about it. Your creating application installation issues, that most windows standalone setup.exe programs were avoiding in the 90s.
Flatpak really only makes a lick of sense on immutable distros, which puts package management behind glass at best, or at worst removes it entirely.
