A prison assessment of the man alleged to have deliberately rammed federal MP #HelenHaines has found no indication of #extremism or links to #political groups or ideologies.
An initial #evaluation of #BrendanNugent, taken in the days after he was arrested, said he held #delusions of being #persecuted & was most likely in a state of #psychosis. It is understood Mr Nugent continues to be #assessed.

Our pollies have been making the #HelenHaines attack all about them.
A family friend with mental health issues attacking her is suddenly “Aussies are attacking politicians! We need more security!”.
Of course, every nut job hears this crap from the pollies & so yesterday someone turned up at an electoral office with nunchucks. #auspol #MentalHealthCare
