I will not publicly discuss other universities' hiring practices, and I can of course not discuss individual cases.
But my impression is that there is not an unreasonable number of people hired that have their PhD from SU, and almost all of those have worked somewhere else as well. Direct hires of newly graduated PhDs are extremely rare.
