After you click "create backup" in account settings, it should show as pending. It depends on the size of your account, so it may be pending for a long time for those of you who were very active.
Eventually it should no longer be pending and then you can click on the timestamp to download the backup as a zip.
I imagine that if yours is failing it's because the account history is so large. Can you let me know if you see any specific error message? Or it just never leaves pending state?
