looking down on UI development and calling web devs "webshits" is not really a convincing argument to convince anyone to dive into kernel/systems programming.
possibly it's this attitude and horrible culture which made many developers avoid this area of open source in the first place.
but what do I know as a former UI idiot, ex-webshit and dumb humanities major about REAL programming and REAL computers...
(I get this since 1994. nothing has changed apparently.)
