I'm thinking about removing the cypress. I feel bad thinking about cutting down a tree, but it isn't native, it has some ugly dead patches, and it shades the raised bed in front of it, where I would like to grow some vegetables. What do you think?

Here is a picture of one of the tomatillos in that raised bed, which is quite leggy but managing to make some fruit.
