You'd be standing there awkwardly with him more or less giving you the silent treatment to avoid outing himself or just because all of his conversation topics would be comics and maybe video games, and he'd run out of material pretty quickly unless you could talk about 50-plus-year-old retro stuff all the way back to DOS.
On top of that, you have a solid chance of that being in a space station, so if it's a power issue, you bet it's an emergency.
