Butlerian Jihad was after the machines were doing everything for the humans that the humans didn't want to do or could not be bothered to to.
We're still many years / decades from anything possibly resembling that. So, a few cars can drive themselves (very badly) but humans are still doing just about every menial job going. Humans are still doing the work at the top because most humans with a functional brain know AI is crap.
Chances are AI will start dying off as the resourses run dry, nobody can access it anymore because no company can manufacture new or next gen tablets, phones, computers so we all go back to pen & paper & relearning how to deal with the postal service & using landlines.
