There are only a few people I know enough about to offer opinion.. Every single one is a critic of the war machine with long track record of being correct.. Mark is less familiar but I've heard him with Garland Nixon offering views of the Ukraine war from Russia w Russian wife & family local attitudes & domestic reporting.. no problem with that & translation is evidence of high level fluency in Russian and regardless of what the content of said book might be we learn nothing if we only consume content from people we agree with & never hear critiques.
