The correlation between body count and sex drive is confounded by unrestricted sociosexuality (being a whore). Sex drive as an independent variable does not predict body count.
Being a whore [SOI-R B in Table 4] barely predicts frequency of intercourse with current partner; it's a much stronger predictor of infidelity.
So, basically: Sex drive has no influence on whether or not somebody becomes a whore, and dating a whore is unlikely to result in more sex, but it is quite likely to result in being cheated on.
Unrestricted sociosexuality belongs to the Fast Life History genetic package; it is influenced by and clusters with heritable traits such as psychopathy, narcissism, impulsivity, and lower executive function.
However, it is also modulated by cultural influences. For example, in our era, the influence of feminism (promoting female "liberation" through unrestricted sex) or Tinder (facilitating "hookups") can tip people toward unrestricted sociosexuality who otherwise may not have been predisposed to such behavior.
From this, we get the phenomenon of women who have a brief "hoe phase" and then decide that they hate all men or make false rape accusations. In actuality, many of these women hate themselves for engaging in such disgusting acts, but women are never responsible for their own poor decisions.
They could blame feminism for convincing them that promiscuity is "empowering", but that would undermine their own political power and influence within the female collective. "How could feminism, the ideology of girl power, be wrong? Something else must be to blame!" Thus, they retcon their consensual whorish acts as "rape" and — in line with feminist ideology — blame men, "the patriarchy," etc.
