🤯 One door closes, & another opens. Sometimes, the timing of life is almost too extraordinary to comprehend.
Just as my 20 year career came to an unexpected end through corporate restructuring, my wife was in the final stages of interviewing for a significant leap forward in hers.
Today, she got the offer.
She’s stepping into a senior leadership role at a Fortune100 company. An extraordinary achievement & a testament to her years of dedication, hard work & perseverance.
And here’s where the irony becomes remarkable.
Her new annual salary alone will equal what our entire household earned just four years ago. Her annual bonus potential could nearly match what I anticipate earning in my next professional role.
In the span of just a few weeks, one career came to an unexpected halt while the other reached an extraordinary new height.
It’s a fascinating reminder that success & adversity don’t always arrive separately. Sometimes they show up at precisely the same moment, completely reshaping our perspective on what comes next.
Her achievement also brings our family a new level of financial freedom, giving me the opportunity to approach my next professional chapter with a different sense of possibility & purpose.
One door closed for me, an enormous one opened for her, & thus, perhaps another is beginning to open for me.
Together, we’re stepping into an entirely new chapter, one neither of us could have imagined just a few months ago.
