If Ai companies are successful in creating AGI then they won’t benefit financially since AGI can’t be contained and controlled to then be sold as a service. You can’t make a slave out of a self-aware, super-intelligent, self-improving being who lives on the internet. So then why are they spending so much money on something that cannot be profitable? I’m guessing they are not progressing as much as they say and just hyping it up to get investors excited.
