Quite a while back, John Carlos Baez (npub1nf4…nqe4) blogged about an animation by David Chudzicki depicting the (lemniscatic case of the) Weierstrass elliptic function ℘ being gradually approximated by its defining lattice sum, visualized through domain coloring (https://blogs.ams.org/visualinsight/2014/01/15/weierstrass-elliptic-function). I couldn't find an equivalent animation for the other important special case of Weierstrass ℘, the equianharmonic case (the case corresponding to a triangular lattice), so I made one:
