Agree, and I'd like to add that things are exponentially worse because without a reliable 4th estate, people primarily get information tailored to influence them specifically via micro-targeting, instead of us all sharing the same information space in which we can debate openly & transparently, and the information sources can be held accountable for what they contribute & how they participate.
