#gardening I planted some fall mums and after a couple of days I noticed one of the plants was entirely stripped of blooms. So I put out a havahart trap thinking a rabbit was eating the flowers. We don't get deer wandering up in the neighborhood so I figured rabbits, which are a plague here. Well last night the trap caught a small opossum. So now I'm confused. Do they eat chrysanthemum flowers just like rabbits? I can't find anything online mentioning possums eating mums or other flowers. I suppose it's possible a rabbit did do the damage and my trap with apple in it just coincidentally attracted the possum?
