"content": "Revenge from Mars was to be the next generation of pinball, until WMS called quits with their pinball department back in '99. But this game is really wild in design. In a lot of places you can literally interact with the stuff on the screen with a ball. This is done with carefully placed targets around the playfield and then pictures projected to the semi-transparent playfield glass from the overhead CRT screen.\n\nHere's one cool example, where a ball jumping from the ramp raising from the playfield \"hits\" a flying saucer, making it explode.\n\nBehind the scenes the area where the saucer flies has a transparent piece of plastic to register the flying ball it and deflect it onto an area where it's held during the end of mode screen.\n\n#pinball #mildlyintersting #retrotech #arcade #didyouknow\nhttps://some.apz.fi/system/media_attachments/files/117/338/276/962/908/079/original/9666df5a5d4aafd2.mp4\n",
