I’ve just read a review of Krita that went, paraphrased,

“This is an excellent digital art program — but I’m a photographer, not a digital artist, and I think it’s a major mistake that devs focused on making a great digital art program instead of making a Photoshop alternative for people like me.”

He then complained about Krita having no built-in genAI functions. He acknowledged that the devs and most users hate genAI. He even acknowledged that genAI fans have developed third-party plugins to add genAI to Krita anyway, but you know… it is inevitable, and instead of trying to resist, you should just lie back and try to enjoy it, and this argument *totally* doesn’t sound super-creepy out of context.

Anyway, at that point I decided to just disregard any further opinions from that reviewer.
