'What you learn after the first blush of awakening is that you don’t run down the street screaming and forcing other people to awaken. There is a moral responsibility to allow people—it’s a very bizarre statement—you have a moral responsibility to leave people alone to suffer the way they choose. All you can do is create an environment for them where, if they don’t want to suffer, they can come up for air. But you can’t force another human being not to suffer."
