Yesterday I volunteered at my gym’s Pride Deadlift Party—a block party fundraiser as a casual deadlifting meet interspersed with performances and hosted by a local drag queen. It was so incredibly queer and they had a record 300 registered lifters.
They put me on a team of flight captains and we managed session groups on 1 of 6 lifting platforms.
Our first group was an entire coached team of trans and nonbinary folks.
