So, Canada is now announcing that they didn't really mean you can't criticize Zionism. But also, the IHRA definition of antisemitism remains on the books.
So uh, that means the government MIGHT charge you with a hate crime for criticizing Zionism. They could. It's still in their wheelhouse. They pinky swear they will NOT, but they could.
This is not better. In fact it's worse than the rule being strictly enforced. And that feels pretty intentional.
