Im not sure why someone would say that, unless they are just avoidant of the subject. I feel like the concept of book destruction cannot be attributed to some "Librarian thing"
The one stonewalling comment I got was someone bringing up the "fact" that archive.org has done the same thing. I put the word "fact" in quotes bc I dont know if thats true or not. Im not sure if my concern would change even if Archive.org *was* doing that.
