I knew America was fucked but wow... just wow... Yaknow, my mom and godmother were black panthers back int he day.
They were old enough to actually experience Jim Crow laws, my aunt was one of the first black children to go to a white school after jim crows end, and my mother and god-mother had marched for civil rights countless times.
To see them do what they did to the Voters Rights Act is just fucking sad. I usually don't talk much about politics on this side, but fuck....
