xAI is still owned by Musk. Just shuffling the deck chairs of the Musk-tanic.
Musk is raiding xAI to get back money he lost for twitter (paying what Musk paid, not what it is actually worth in an illegal stock only transaction), just like the $50 billion dollar pay package raiding the value of Tesla.
I am suspicious now that the reason Musk is re-writing the social security software is so he can absorb it into the "X everything app" so you will need an X account to get your SS.
