I know the past was not all good. I know I see it through rose-colored glasses and forget the inequities, injustices, and hardships. But I hate this current time so much. I have so much grief for what was and could have been. I don’t know what to do with these feelings. What I wouldn’t give to go back to the late nineties. When I wasn’t afraid of being shot at school or the movies. When I would roller blade around the lake at the park, then browse Barnes & Noble with a hot chocolate.
