Adding paid ads to Apple Maps would show that Apple doesnt care about usage of their app.
Most of the time when I’m searching in Apple Maps I’m searching for a particular place. “Emergency vet in Redwood City”.
If I want to find “dog friendly restaurants near me” I won’t use Apple Maps I’ll go straight to Yelp or something that can do filtered searching. And I’m (mostly) ok with ads there.
I don’t want ads in Maps when I am just looking for something I just don’t know the address of
