Overcast
Today is an overcast, drizzly day. Not depressing, though - after the summer heat I’m enjoying any and every other type of weather. After the midday goat-check (Nutmeg was not tangled in her tether; Bell was) I strolled around and took some pictures.
Too old for riding, but still the bestest boy.
Foliage color this year is best described as ‘muted.’ There are individual trees that are bright, but overall the forest is either still oddly green or subtle fall colors.
This young tree is trying her very best, though! There’s an area there a bit bigger than a football field that was oddly treeless for a couple decades. (chock-full of thornbushes, though) There are finally some young trees getting started, now, and I’m cheering them on.
The rain continued on and off the rest of the day. Good day for long naps, apparently. I want what they have, oh so truly.
