I dunno, dude, these particular people don't seem to burn out on helping me, but I think that may be because I am a positive presence in their lives.
It's not a "transaction". I don't buy their help, but I don't forget about or ignore them when I'm not in crisis. I don't have anyone in my life who I only go to when I need something from them.
