This is also the issue I have with using #ArcaneChat. Some of my family use Apple iPhones, and #Signal is available there, which makes it much easier for everyone to stay connected. ❤️
I understand the concern around requiring a phone number. At the same time, I live in Norway, so I personally have a somewhat different perspective on the privacy and regulatory concerns involved.
I also understand the concerns people have about Amazon, but I’m not entirely sure how that would affect the everyday user. Signal has previously said it would leave a country rather than compromise its principles, for example, in discussions around the UK, and it has also supported people in places where access to the service is restricted, including through proxy infrastructure.
For me, that track record is worth considering. ❤️
hi, the ArcaneChat project is not interested in supporting Apple products, they make it extremely hard for developers to ship apps to their closed system with a single app store they control
it might happen that indirectly you could use it via web version at some point, but supporting iPhone is not in our road map, in fact we are more interested in boycotting Apple
but you can use Delta Chat in iOS, it is interoperable with ArcaneChat and other chatmail clients
