This law was specifically made to prevent rich people from using Medicaid instead of buying long term care insurance, and yet still nobody buys long term care insurance because the price is paid by the heirs, not them.
Even this story never mentions long term care insurance whatsoever. Nobody talks about it and just assumes they're an innocent victim.
