Even if we accept that people are going to set off fireworks on special occasions, does it have to start a week early? Does it have to happen at 3 in the morning? Does it have to continue for at least a week after? Do we need drunks DIYing pyrotechnics? I’m not sure whether the answer is no or hell no, but it’s one of those.
