That all sounds awful, but (as usual) reality is even worse: This isn't just treating "criminals" as wartime combatants (bad!), it's treating *anyone Trump says is a criminal* as a wartime combatant. No conviction, no trial, not even a formal charge.
Just death, because Trump wants to kill you.
