How to Understand the birth of Jesus - This is an allegory that is not distinct to the Christian tradition, it has been used throughout history in many different traditions. The reason is that it has an important deep meaning it portrays. It is about the prime cause of Being Itself. How does Being come to be? It cannot come to be, as it always Is. Therefore we talk about it in the way of conditions. Being is seen as the coming together (or the mix) of the Unbounded (Infinite) and the Bounded (Finite). Because there is certainly something infinite & eternal about Being, but there is also something bounded or limited about it being that it is something as opposed to everything else it is not. That is to say that it is a defined idea. And where do the Ideas of Unbounded/Infinite/Unlimited and Bounded/Finite/Limited come from? They are the first 2 necessary Ideas that must proceed from the One. If we are talking about the One Itself, then there is nothing that can be said and in fact we cannot even call it the One. As soon as we begin to talk about the One, we have said it is Unlimited and yet we have still Bound it by calling it anything at all and making it an Idea. Therefore Unlimited & Limit are the 2 Ideas that follow from the One, and the coming together of them is Being Itself.
You can see how this allegory is portraying the metaphysical Understanding of Being. Jesus is the birth of the mixing of the Infinite & the Finite. And if you go back to what that Infinite part is, you get God in Itself which is beyond all conceptions & predicates. Even after his birth, the allegory remains. There is something Divine about him, and yet he is man and everything that comes with that. There is something Eternal/Divine about Being Itself, and yet there is part of it that must deal with the manifest Reality and what comes with that.
