I recall hearing somewhere in the not-too distant past that in America, poverty is a crime.

That was not only referring to how being poor in & of itself could make you a suspect in a crime, was & is used to cast suspicion.

But you're right: this is next level cruelty & injustice by Trump/GOP to further terrorize a vulnerable & fragile population who already lead lives dominated by fear & insecurity.

Spend that wasteful policing money on housing the homeless.
